The father of Jennifer Garner, William John Garner, worked as a chemical engineer at Union Carbide. Patricia Ann Garner, the mother of Patricia Ann, taught at the local college. In order to continue in the footsteps of her father she earned a degree in chemical engineering. Then she moved to New York in order to fulfill her ambitions as an actor.
