April Lockhart
April Lockhart is a born on July 4th in 1995. When she was in the 7th grade, she started taking piano and guitar lessons. It was this that ignited her love for songwriting. April's first song was Different, which she wrote when she was 12 years old. When she was 14 April spent a lot of time in writing song ideas and practicing her musical skills. In the following months, April started going to NY and LA together with her father to help them compose songs. April started to incorporate various other topics relevant to the song, which she called the Take my Hand song for some acquaintances, including peer pressure problems and suicides among teenagers. Lockhart has her own following and also works as an online lifestyle blogger for the renowned Ilia the Clean Beauty brand. She was born without her left hand, and it's an aspect of her identity, but it's hardly her whole story. The account on Instagram of Lockhart doesn't deny her handicap. But it also doesn't insist on it. What is the message? We are all more than the physical person we are. The identities we have are complex and we contain many different aspects. Lockhart through a video messages from his Nashville home, states that I do not want this to define myself. I'm much far more than just my physical self. But it does not affect my daily routine. I do the normal things and have adjusted to my disability. It's also a part of my personality, and that it is something to be talked about. Her journey to self-acceptance is one that can last for a long time, and she can be a role model for this purpose. Lockhart admits to having gone through phases where she felt uncomfortable in wearing certain clothing styles which exposed her arms. She can wear whatever she wants, and she is proud to share photos of herself dressed in her favorite outfits. It's a journey is the key thing I'm not certain that it will be an end about self-love. However, that is typical for people with doubts. It is essential to surround yourself with those who are able to see your.
