Audrey Tautou
Audrey Tautou in Beaumont Puy De Domme, France, was born on the 9th August, 1976. Audrey is the oldest child of four. She was encouraged by her parents, dentist and teacher and both of them were teachers. They encouraged her to follow her love of the theatre. It was in stark contrast with her previous desire to become a primateologist because she adored monkeys. There was an immediate rise for her to become a famous young actress. It was only at the age of 1999 after which she began acting professionally. Following her studies Tautou participated in the French television show for talent scouting called Jeunes Premiers. Tautou was a student at in the Institut Catholique de Paris in Paris in her youth and was a student there from the age of a child but has sworn off her Catholic education. She now says she is not a Catholic. Neben her acting, Tautou has also been a model and the spokesperson in the advertising campaign for L'Oreal Mont Blanc as well as Chanel. A keen photographer, she has recently exhibited during the Arles International Festival entitled Superficial. Photography of her is primarily focused on fame and celebrity and then turns her camera to those who scrutinized her when she exploded to stardom with Amelie in addition to self-portraits. Audrey Tautou's first big part, playing Amelie Poulain's leading actor in Le Fabuleux d'Amelie Poulain, brought the actress international fame. Amelie has been undoubtedly a huge box office smash internationally and has been lauded at numerous award events around the globe. It's the largest French language film to ever be released to be released in the US. Following the release of this film, Tautou starred in many films that ranged from British dramas to Jean Pierre Jeunet's film Un long Sunday de Faancailles. She then moved to Hollywood and appeared alongside Tom Hanks alongside Ron Howard in The Da Vinci Code by Dan Brown.
